Will You Help?

Dear Viking Family,

 

Every year the Marina Grad Night Booster Club endeavors to provide the graduating class of Marina High School with a memorable celebration to mark the important achievement of earning a high school diploma. We take hundreds of students by bus to Disney California Adventure to participate in Disney Grad Nite. Busing the kids to the park is required by Disney. However, every year, Disney raises their ticket price and the transportation fee goes up. In 2025, the buses cost us $7200. In turn, we have to charge the kids who wish to attend Grad Night more money to cover these expenses. 

 

As a result, it has become a pretty expensive ticket, and the price now poses a hardship for approximately 48% of Marina families who otherwise qualify for free/reduced lunch.

 

In an effort to keep this event more affordable, we ask both friends and family, and our community as a whole, to please donate as much or as little as you can to help offset the rising costs. Your donations are tax deductible and will go towards our transportation fee so that the students’ share of the ticket price can be reduced as much as possible to the amount Disney charges for admission.
